World of Tanks firms seeking studios interested in new development partnerships

Wargaming enters publishing with WG Labs

Wargaming has launched WG Labs, a new division that is focused on helping developers produce and publish their games.

The company, best known for World of Tanks, claims the new program will “support external development teams in game creation and publishing, as well as generate, evaluate and launch in-house products”.

WG Labs will also provide support in terms of game production, monetisation, analytics, marketing, customer services and QA.

The new venture is calling on devs to submit playbale prototypes or alpha, beta and pre-release versions of their games, regardless of platform. You can find out more at www.wglabs.com.

Wargaming says this initiative was inspired by its collaboration with the makers of Master of Orion.

“Working with NGD Studios has been a very positive and rewarding collaboration,” said CEO Victor Kislyi. “Thoroughly impressed with thier work, the project served as inspiration for us to create an actual innovation centre within the company.

“WG Labs is set to become a breeding ground of ideas that inspire and resonate with both consumers and companies, and allow us to further foster partnerships like this.”
