France base houses 171 employees

Wargaming opens new Paris office

Wargaming has moved into a new office in Paris as it continues to ramp up its operations on the back of its success with World of Tanks.

The France branch now houses 171 staff, and is responsible for the developer’s games across the continent.

Employees provide publishing feedback and marketing strategies for games that have left the concept stage of development. Staff at the office also play a role in community management.

Wargaming had previously opened its Paris division in 2011 when it housed around 50 staff, but has moved into the new space after more than tripling its headcount.

“We built this family as closely as we could. We like to work with each other and we’re convinced that liking the people you work with is key to the future the company and for the motivation of everybody in the long term,” said Wargaming director of EMEA and NA Frédéric Menou.

“We believe that being on the same floor and seeing each other every day, and having a mingling area where people can talk to each other and play pool helps a lot. And the door to my office is always open.”

Develop was the first media publication in the world to visit the new office. You can read the full interview about our visit and interview with Frédéric Menou here.
