Wargaming’s Rahim Attaba joins Twitch

Rahim Attaba has left his role as global marketing director of Wargaming.net’s Wargaming Alliance to join streaming company Twitch.

Attaba joins the Amazon owned company as director of commerce for the EMEA region and has will be focusing on commerce within the streaming service, including subscriptions, affiliates and the new purchasable Cheers and Bits for use with the service.

"In my 15 years in the games industry, I have never seen so many new opportunities for publishers and developers to connect with gamers like I have seen on Twitch,” said Rahim Attaba. “Twitch is an ecosystem where viewers, creators, and game publishers work together and support one another. With that, my goal is to ensure that European content creators continue to benefit from Twitch and the growing portfolio of monetization tools we provide."

Attaba’s work for Wargaming included leading the marketing strategy for Total War: Arena, but previous work has included the marketing strategy for Microsoft backed MOBA, Gigantic and MMORPG Rift by Trion Worlds.
