With 3D re-release around the corner, Sholay gets a mobile game

Sholay, one of the most celebrated films in Indian cinema, has a new game based on it – Sholay: Bullets of Justice.

A collaboration between Hungama and Gameshastra, the mobile game follows the story of Jai, Veeru and Baldev Thakur from the film.

Playing as Jai and Veeru, players must fight dacoits who stand in their way using weapons inspired by the film. Players can also upgrade to more powerful weapons to take on iconic villains, including Gabbar Singh.

The game features a variety of locations, including the village of Ramnagar, where the film was based.

Sholay, first released in 1975, is set for a re-release this month, having been remastered in 3D at an reported cost of approximately Rs 25 crore ($4 million).
