The world’s biggest MMO has become the latest game to adopt the increasingly popular free-to-play model.
Users can now download and play World of Warcraft for as long as they like until they reach level 20.
The move could help bring the number of subscribers up past peak levels. Last year publisher-developer Blizzard Entertainment announced worldwide subscribers for the game stood at an all-time high of 12m, while in March 2011 this had fallen to 11.4m.
