Organisers for the Game Developers Conference 2013 have revealed the line-up for its new free-to-play design and business summit.
The new summit is one of eight that will take place on March 25th and 26th during the event, and will feature the likes of Zynga and TinyCo.
TinyCo’s Nick Ross, whose studio has developed mobile titles such as Tiny Village and Tiny Zoo Friends, will discuss ‘How to lie with analytics’, which will cover topics such as tracking, sampling and balancing significance versus execution.
Zynga’s Mike Perry and Abhinav Agrawal meanwhile will talk about the publisher’s approaches to game design and the development processes used by the company in their presentation on ‘Why Won’t FarmVille go away?’.
It will also focus on “how to leverage platform opportunities and use design refactoring methods to extend the lifetime of a social game”, as well as providing attendees with an insight “into the rapid design, scoping, and development process of features for FarmVille”.
Other studios making presentations at the summit include PopCap, Tencent, Real Life Plus and Last Day of Work.
GDC 2013 will take place between March 25th and 29th at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco.
Develop will be out in force at the event to cover all the latest and breaking stories as they happen. The March issue of Develop will also be available throughout the conference.
