Another executive heads out after more than six years with the company

Zynga loses co-founder Justin Waldron

Zynga’s Justin Waldron is leaving the company he co-founded over six years ago.

This comes as the social game maker has swapped out former CEO and founder Mark Pincus for former Xbox head Don Mattrick, and a year of several high-level executive departures.

“I’ve decided it’s time to leave zynga and venture off on my own again,” he said in a Facebook post.

“It’s been 6 and a half years since we pushed the button to launch our first game, and each moment since has been magic.”

Waldron is still in his 20’s, and was one of the few remaining founders left at the company.

“It’s incredibly humbling to have worked with such a talented team,” he continued.

“I am grateful to have had the chance to help build a company that touched so many people. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it- both in the trenches and for playing the games.”

Waldron didn’t say what he plans to do next.
