Traffic exchange service to 'supercharge' mobile growth

6waves promises tide of users from WaveX

Mobile developer and publisher 6waves has released a mobile traffic exchange service to give other developers access to their pool of users.

Dubbed WaveX, the service is completely free of charge, eliminating the need for exorbitant spending on user aquisition.

"Developers asked us about the potential for cross-promotional deals. We listened," said Jim Ying, 6waves’ senior VP of publishing.

"We built WaveX in response to their requests and decided to make it available not just to those who asked, but to all developers."

The product caters to the spectrum mobile development, and if successful, will show once and for all that cross-promotion is an effective and mutually beneficial method of advertising.

"With the launch of WaveX," said 6waves director of product Josh Burns at 6waves, "we look forward to working with an expanded pool of independent developers from around the world to help them grow the global audience of their games."
