Mobile analytics firm App Annie has opened a new office in Singapore.

The company said the move was due to the flourishing and fast-growing mobile market in India and Southeast Asia. It claimed the INSEA and ANZ regions were almost as large as China, Japan and South Korea combined in terms of number of iOS and Google Play app downloads in Q4 2014.

The office will officially open as early as April and App Annie expects to hire up to ten new staff for the branch. The team will be tasked with supporting the region’s growth as well as conducting sales and marketing across Asia.

"As well as the explosive growth that we are seeing in the region, the new Singapore office is also about talent and community," said App Annie marketing EVP Oliver Lo.

"On the talent side, we’re big believers in the sales, business and marketing talent that resides in Singapore. And this office means we can attract the best mobile talent in Asia-Pacific. On the community side, we see a thriving ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, publishers, brands and agencies in that part of the world. And we want to invest in that.

"The Singaporean government has done a fantastic job of building the city up as a regional tech hub for the INSEA region. We go where mobile app professionals go, and we’re excited for App Annie to be a big part of the community and ecosystem there."
