Firemintâ??s Flight Control sells over 3.8 million copies to date

App Store game’s sales spiked from multiplayer add

Mobile games studio Firemint has sold over 3.8 million copies of Flight Control, the company has said.

The Australian studio revealed the App Store sales data in new info-packed blog post.

The developer counted 3,881,634 sales of Flight Control to date, not including the numerous free versions downloaded.

Firemint also revealed that the game’s biggest sales spike since release was due to the addition of multiplayer features. Data here.

“Apple has released a list of the all-time top paid iPhone apps, and we’re very excited to see Flight Control on the list in many countries around the world,” read a blog post from the studio.

Flight Control, first released March 2009, has sold close to 1.6 million copies in the US – making it the tenth best-selling App in the region.

Around 715,000 copies have been sold in the UK, while in Firemint’s homeland, Australia, some 300,000 copies have been sold.
