Company to focus on â??small agile development teamâ??

Auran confirms staff cutbacks

In a post on the Fury official forums, Auran CEO Tony Hilliam has confirmed that the company is to slash its workforce and place greater emphasis on Chinese outsourcing.

The message asserts the rumour that their player-vs-player MMO Fury has had a slower start than anticipated. Hilliam says that the company nevertheless “sees a bright and long future ahead [for Fury].

“However, that future will not include the full 60 man development team who have worked on Fury for the past year. The future will focus on a smaller core team, people who are incredibly passionate about the game and work until four in the morning to ensure they get things done,” he continued.

Hilliam also confirmed the rumours that much of the work for future updates will be going to Chinese outsourcing companies, and that close neighbour studio Tantalus will be recruiting some of the redundant staff.
