Manchester firm down to final three in the Enabling Creativity category at TechWorld 2011

Avatar Games up for business innovation award

Greater Manchester based recruitment firm Avatar Games has been nominated for a prize at the TechWorld 2011 Business Innovation Awards.

The agency, which specialises in video game careers consultancy, has been included in the final three companies chosen for the chance to win the Enabling Creativity award.

The nomination for the prize is in recognition of the firm’s achievements as a successful UK business both home and abroad.

The other nominees for the Enabling Creativity category are technology consultancy company Stereografix and PhoneDevil Limited.

One of this year’s judges, Colm Reilly from PA Consulting said: “This year’s entries were of a particularly high quality, underlining the growing strength of these awards.

“Choosing a winner from such an excellent shortlist is going to be very tough. I am really looking forward to meeting the finalists at the award ceremony and sharing, at first hand, their enthusiasm, creativity and commitment to innovation."

The awards show is designed to showcase “the very best of British innovation”, with other award categories such as Energy and Environment, and Digital Connected World.

The Business Innovation Awards will be presented at TechWorld on Thursday 17th November at ExCel in London.
