Developer Azo Studios has formed with a view to create its own games and middleware solutions.
Formed by Nick Koziupa, Brian Westergaard, and Dave Eberly, Azo Studios is preparing to develop for console, handheld and PC platforms. Eberly brings his experience as the former chief architect of NetImmerse, the game engine that later became Gamebryo.
"We are committed to building mutually beneficial relationships throughout the entertainment industry in order to provide high quality gaming experiences for a global audience," said Azo Studios' president Nick Koziupa.
The production house, based in Pheonix, Arizona, plans to develop intellectual property both in-house and in conjunction with currently unconfirmed strategic partners in the music and entertainment industries.
"Our goal is to ensure that creative vision guides our decision making process every step of the way," added Westergaard, Azo Studios' vice president.
