‘The Grand Canyon. Mount Everest. The Great Barrier Reef. You know them as some of the seven natural wonders in the world. When you see the Men of Game Development for 2017, you'll need to make room for another twelve’

BioWare, Bungie, Naughty Dog, Swery and more join 2017 ‘Men of Game Dev’ calendar

100ft Robot Golf studio No Goblin has launched a Kickstarter for the fourth annual ‘Men of Game Development’ calendar.

Originally produced in 2014 as a whimsical reward for backers of No Goblin co-founder Dan Teasdale’s Super Drake Tracker 2000 EX, itself a tongue-in-cheek app designed to track the many flights of former Harmonix PR John Drake, the calendar is now a self-sustaining product.

Featuring triple-A and indie devs in a variety of scintillating poses, 2017’s calendar includes staff from BioWare, Hi-Rez, Bungie, DrinkBox, Double Helix, Super Duper Game Co, Naughty Dog, Iron Galaxy, Volition and NuChallenger, as well as composer Ben Prunty and cult Japanese creator Swery.

The calendar itself is printed on 12×24 heavy paper stock, with a print version available for $19 as part of the campaign (a digital version is $9). It includes a centrefold image of “one of the finest examples of game developer we could find”.

No Goblin is also offering top-tier backers the chance to purchase a ‘Man Canvas’ for $199, starring “a canvas wrapped print of any man you choose, in the biggest size we can manage for that man (minimum 20x30in)”.

“The Grand Canyon. Mount Everest. The Great Barrier Reef. You know them as some of the seven natural wonders in the world,” the studio wrote.

“When you see the Men of Game Development for 2017, you’ll need to make room for another twelve.”
