Activision Q4 earnings call reveals duo of 007 titles underway at Project Gotham studio

Bizarre Creations developing two Bond games

During the Activision Blizzard Q4 earnings call it emerged that two games based on James Bond are being developed by Bizarre Creations.

Little is known about the two games. One is a racer that will see launch towards the end of 2009, while the other is a new James Bond game, due 2010. Activision has referred to the second 007 title in relation to Call of Duty and its previous game based on the British spy movies, suggesting the license will take the familiar shooter format again.

Speaking in the conference call, Activision president Mike Griffith confirmed: "We made a strategic decision to move our next James Bond release from late 2009 to 2010 to benefit from a better launch window and avoid having to compete with the large holiday lineup and going head-to-head with Call of Duty, both of which negatively impacted the performance of this title this holiday.

"The movement will have an added benefit in staggering the completions of our racing title and the next Bond."
