Casual Games Association to take popular 'Connect' conference series to Singapore

Casual Connect Asia to debut in May

The Casual Games Association is to run a new event in Singapore.

Called Casual Connect Asia, the event joins the CGA’s existing rostrum of events in Hamburg, Kiev and Seattle, which focus on the realms of social, mobile, browser, web, MMOs and dowloadable casual games.

"Casual Connect Singapore offers a fantastic opportunity for visitors to reach and meet a huge new market." Casual Games Association managing director and show organiser Jessica Tams told Develop at the ongoing Casual Connect Europe event. "We’re really excited about this new event, and we’re sure it’s going to help a lot of people in the industry, both across Asia and around the globe. What is going on in Singapore and Asia is really quite incredible, and it’s a wonderful city."

The combination of an expo, conference and networking opportunities will allow visitors to better understand a market that serves some 300 million Asian games consumers every month.

Speakers from Facebook, PopCap, Microsoft Ubisoft, The9, Tencent and others are already confirmed.

A special element to cater for meeting with indie developers is also being planned.

Casual Connect Asia takes place this year from May 22nd to May 24th at the Suntec Convention Center in Suntec City, Singapore.
