Supercell's flagship title continues to generate enormous revenues for Finnish studio

Clash of Clans making $654,000 a day

Clash of Clans is making $654,000 a day through in-app purchases for developer Supercell, according to AppData.

The number is actually down from previous reports, which claimed the Finnish studio was making $2.4 million a day from the title and its other game, Hay Day.

The figures are still hugely impressive however, and highlight why Japanese company Softbank forked out $1.5 billion for a 51 per cent stake in the company.

Supercell’s success is similar to another Softbank studio, GungHo Entertainment, which was said to be making $4.9 million a day from mobile hit Puzzle & Dragons, with most of this revenue coming from just Japan. The title has since been released in Europe.

Clash of Clans is currently ranked 2nd on the UK App Store’s top grossing chart just behind King’s Candy Crush Saga, with Hay Day positioned in 4th. Puzzle & Dragons is not listed in the top 200.
