Lauren Orrells, Daniel Hitchen and Pawel Margacz join Portsmouth studio

Climax hires three new junior staff

Portsmouth developer Climax has upped its headcount with three new junior hires.

Lauren Orrells (pictured) joins as a concept and UI artist. Orrells has a background in graphic design and concept art, and an MA in Digital Character Animation. She broke into the industry creating animation layouts for Travellers Tales.

“It’s fantastic to have the chance to develop my artistic style and creativity whilst working alongside other amazingly talented artists,” said Orrells.

Climax has also welcomed Daniel Hitchen and Pawel Margacz as a character artist and artist respectively.
Hitching is competent in both character creation and rigging expertise, and will be contributing to its upcoming multiplatform social games.

After graduating in 2011, Margacz joined as a junior artist where he sampled numerous aspects of art production during the development of Climax’s socially connected brain training game, Smart As, for PS Vita. Margacz went on to train and specialise further in visual effects, before freelancing for short time, and has now returned to Climax.
