World's biggest event for developers approaches – have you registered yet?

Countdown to GDC 2015: Eight weeks to go

Game Developers Conference, the biggest event in any studio’s calendar, is just eight weeks away.

Taking place slightly earlier this year, the conference will be held at San Francisco’s Moscone Center from Monday, March 2nd to Friday, March 6th, with the expo kicking off on Wednesday, March 4th.

Between now and then, we’ll be bringing you weekly updates on the conference, its programme and more, as well as handy reminders that will help you prepare for the busiest week of the year.

As usual, the March issue of Develop will be available on the show floor for all attendees, and we’ll be covering every major announcement and more online.

To find out more about advertising opportunities in the GDC issue, contact Alex via aboucher@nbmedia.com or Charlotte via cnangle@nbmedia.com. You can also call them on 01992 535647.

Have you registered yet?

You can register for your pass now by heading over to the official website. Registering before January 21st will offer you Early Bird prices – a saving of $500 on the All Access Pass – after which regular prices will be in place. Note that purchasing passes after February 25th will have to be done onsite and at slightly elevated prices.

Don’t forget you can get 10% off the All Access and Main Conference pass with the following code: GDC15DM

You can find a handy breakdown of the different passes and prices right here.

Bring the kids

Did you know there is childcare available at this year’s GDC?

Thanks to a new partnership between the conference organisers and KiddieCorp, a leading US childcare provider, GDC 2015 attendees will be able access an on-site children’s program.

The initiative is open to devs with children between six months and twelve years old, and will be based within the Moscone Center. KiddieCorp promises plenty of engaging activities for the kids, as well as snacks and beverages – although meals will need to be supplied by parents.

You can learn more about the service and register over at KiddieCorp’s website. The company promises an "affordable hourly rate", but stresses that the service will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The deadline for registration is Friday, February 6th.

Next week, we’ll bring you the highlights of the conference so far, which includes sessions from Bungie, Insomniac Games, Riot Games, Ubisoft, Double Fine, BioWare, DICE and more.
