Crytek has signed a deal with German college Hochschule Darmstadt to provide the institution with an educational package.
Students will not only benefit from being able to use the studio’s next-gen CryEngine 2 technology, but will also receive lectures from the developer on topics such as game concepts, game design, computer animation and engine technology.
The engine will be used in the college’s digital media courses, which not only includes gaming-related topics but also related fields such as video production, sound technology and interactive media.
