For any readers who might not know you, tell us a little more about your company and its goals.
We increase engagement, retention and monetisation in any game or app by delivering the most suitable branded content to developers and making licensing fast, simple and cost-effective. Millions of branded items have already been sold through Iconicfuture, resulting in a significant increase in game and app downloads. Our 360-degree service and proprietary licensing platform allow simple brand-to-game matching, deal negotiation, asset approval and fully automated sales and royalty reporting.

What differentiates you from similar outfits? What's unique about you?
We are a success-driven licensing provider. In fact, we differentiate fundamentally from licensing agencies through our data-driven approach and deep understanding of both markets. We match games and apps with the most suitable brands, support our customers at every step of the licensing process, from deal negotiation through to brand integration and provide them with the ideal solution to convert user engagement into revenue.

What excites and/or encourages you about the games industry and games development today?
Over the past few years the games industry has changed radically. With the mass market adoption of mobile devices and tablets, gaming has become ubiquitous. Short, frequent gameplay sessions require very little upfront investment in terms of time or cash and demand a new breed of game design. With free-to-play development pushing the boundaries in creativity and redefining the very essence of compelling gameplay, working in such a dynamic and fast-paced market poses an exciting challenge to our industry’s commercial paradigms.

Regarding the Develop Awards finalists, what does it say to you about the industry and development today?
Yet again, this year’s stellar line-up of finalists reminds us just how many bright and creative minds in our industry are continuing to translate amazing ideas into blockbuster games.

Do you have a message for the finalists?
Stay foolish, think out of the box and continue to produce phenomenal games that people love.

Anything else you'd like to add about your company and the Develop Awards?
We are extremely proud to be a sponsor of the Develop Awards and are looking forward to an exciting evening. We are humbled to play a small part in such a talented creative industry, which not only draws on inspiration from the worlds of movies, sport, board games, toys, comics, TV, entertainment and celebrities but first-and-foremost continually raises the creativity bar to create market-defining home-grown IP of its own.
