Three VR titles and iPad game Twisted Lines join six PC entrants

Develop: Brighton Indie Showcase shortlist revealed

The ten games selected for this year’s Indie Showcase at Develop: Brighton have been named.

Among the entrants are two titles – Wolf & Wood Interactive’s A Chair in a Room: Greenwater and Triangular Pixels’ Unseen Diplomacy – for the HTC Vive VR headset, as well as one, Psytec Games’ Winlands, for its competitor, the Oculus Rift.

Just one mobile game made the cut, iPad effort Twisted Lines by Megagon Industries.

The remainder of the list is comprised of PC releases: Jazon and the Dead (2nd Studio), Anarcute (Anarteam), Shift Happens (Klonk UG), Flat Heroes (Parallel Circles), BFF or Die (Honey Tribe Studios) (pictured) and Fragments of Him (Sassybot).

All ten titles will be playable at Develop’s expo on July 13th and 14th, with a judging panel crowning the winner of the showcase and delegates voting for a People’s Choice champ on the Thursday of the show.

"Once again this year, the quality of games submitted took a huge leap forwards," said panel chairman Adam Green.

"It was fantastic in particular to see so many VR submissions, and the variety of new experiences developers are creating with this new technology.

“We had nearly 100 games submitted this year, and selecting the Top 10 from such an amazing bunch was a real challenge.”
