Final deadline set: Thursday March 31st

Develop Conference speaker call ends this week

Only a few days remain to pitch a speech for this year’s Develop in Brighton Conference, with a final deadline set for March 31st.

Organiser Tandem Events welcomes submissions for 60 minute lectures and panels, that must fit within one of the following conference track guidelines:

Art – To inspire artists and creatives across the whole spectrum of game development
Audio – For anyone involved in sound or music and games
Business – Tackles the commercial issues of game development
Coding – A focus on the technical side of game development aimed at programmers of all levels
Design – As more games devolve decisions to the player, we’re all designers now, aimed at anyone interested in design issues or case studies
Evolve – Game development for new platforms, new markets and new technologies
Production – Aimed at management and game producers facing modern production challenges

Guidelines for submission are available here, while the form for proposals can be downloaded here.

The sixth annual Develop Conference in Brighton runs from Tuesday July 19th to Thursday 21st. Delegates can submit their proposals for conference sessions via the online form at www.developconference.com

On Wednesday July 20th, the industry will come together for the eighth annual Develop Industry Excellence Awards – Europe’s most respected games awards event. Inquiries should be made to Kathryn.humprey@intentmedia.co.uk

Develop magazine and Develop Online is to cover the whole event extensively across its three days.

"More than 80 top quality sessions are presented each year by international game development experts and approximately one fifth of these originate from our call for papers,” said Andy Lane, managing director of conference organiser Tandem Events.

“It’s critical that the industry is involved in shaping Develop’s conference content, after all, no one understands the challenges facing developers, the trends they need to be aware of and the strategies they should be adopting, better than the developers themselves.”
