Microsoft has begun a new relationship with Valve to support its virtual reality technology and its Vive VR headset.

The news was announced by Microsoft’s Kudo Tsunoda during its E3 press conference. No other details were provided on the specifics of the partnership.

It could be similar to the partnership already announced between Oculus and Microsoft, through which the Xbox One controller will be compatible with and ship with the Oculus Rift headset.

Tsunoda also said Xbox One games will be playable on the Oculus Rift, via streaming through Windows 10.

This is on top of Microsoft providing another look at its own AR and VR headset HoloLens, for which it unveiled a new version of Minecraft.
