Developer and publishing label will launch debut title next month

Endemol opens new games arm Good Catch

Endemol Shine Group has opened a new video games venture in the form of Good Catch.

The new company is both a games developer and a publishing label, and has been operating in stealth so far. Now it emerges just ahead of the launch of its debut game.

Good Catch is headed up by managing director Anil Mistry, previously Endemol’s head of Apps and Games.

"This is an exciting opportunity to build an engaging portfolio of games across all platforms with well-known global brands and new games IP," he said. "Endemol Shine is a company built on creativity and coupled with technical delivery. Good Catch is well placed to turn great ideas into great games."

Mistry spoke to Develop’s sister site MCV about the studio’s access to brands such as Mr Bean and Hunted, both of which have games in the works.

Good Catch will release multiplayer brawler Black & White Bushido on Xbox One and PS4 this September. A slimmer version of the game was originally released on Steam last October, published by Green Man Gaming.

The console version adds online multiplayer, new difficulty levels and improvements to the gameplay and visuals – all of which will now be added to the PC version.
