Hilmar Petursson, the CEO at Icelandic developer CCP Games, has been confirmed as the latest keynote speaker to attend the upcoming GDC Europe event in Cologne.
Petursson will discuss the journey CCP has taken, from middleweight developer to an MMO market leader, and offer some insight into how this happened. He will also be sharing his views on the future, as well as the opportunities the industry has to reinvent itself.
Petursson is also set to announce CCP Games’ latest project, which may see the return of the "Halo-like shooter” that was briefly shown at last year’s EVE Fanfest.
“GDC Europe is gearing up to be one of the industry's most essential events”, said Petursson. “I am honoured to have this opportunity to share some of the valuable lessons CCP has learned with such a prestigious audience."
GDC Europe will commence from August 17-19.
