Valve game and level designer Clint Hocking has left Half-Life developer after 18 months with the company.
It is not yet clear why he has left his position, which comes a year after a number of staff have left the studio, including director of business Jason Holtman and hardware engineer Jeri Ellsworth. At least eight other employees were also thought to have left.
Develop has reached out to Clint Hocking for comment.
Prior to joining Valve, Hocking worked at LucasArts as creative director on an unannounced project, and left just under a year before the team was disbanded.
Before that, he worked at Ubisoft Montreal for nine years, taking the role of creative director on projects including Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Far Cry 2. He was also level designer, game designer and scriptwriter for the original Splinter Cell.
Hocking is also a member of the Montreal IGDA advisory board.
