Talented People – a game recruitment group that formed from staff laid off during the Activision-Blizzard merger – has expanded its services to all game industry professionals.
The recruitment firm was first established to offer a directory of former Vivendi Games Europe employees, who lost their jobs as Activation merged with Blizzard.
Now, however, the Talented People website can list any talented industry professionals looking for a new job.
Talented People’s expansion – which the group had been considering for a while – comes after the group set up a booth at the 2009 Video Game Festival.
“This operation at the Video Game Festival represented an excellent opportunity to meet the professionals in the sector that are currently recruiting as well as tomorrow’s living forces within the companies,” says Talented People founder Simon Poidevin.
“We have a high-potential reservoir of students as well as already experienced and outstanding professionals in France. I wanted to bring them this service and our experience in order to make easier their job, internship or training scheme hunting in a still difficult context.”
The group has claimed that 20 per cent of the former Vivendi Games employees had found a new job through the Talented People website, a figure achieved “in a period that was not favourable on the job market”.
Each school or company wishing to promote its talents on Talented People now will be able to receive a “personalized and totally dedicated space”, the group added.
