The original founders of Zynga Boston have opened a new mobile studio in the region.

Called Proletariat, the developer came together after Zynga made the decision to close is Boston branch in October last year.

The studio is staffed by CEO Seth Sivak, art director Damon Iannuzzelli, CTO Dan Ogles, CCO Jesse Kurlancheek and director of engineering Joe Mukai.

Proletariat’s first game will be iOS word-finding game Letter Rush, with the developer also currently at work on another new title aimed at core gamers on tablet devices.

"We have all known each other and worked with one another for so long that we’ve developed an organic way of making games together,” said Proletariat CEO Seth Sivak.

“We all want to make successful games, both creatively and as a business. This team has been on both sides and knows how to find that balance. Building games is all about navigating the chaotic process of discovering the fun and then performing a disciplined march to a polished, final product. That process is important to us."
