The F2P: Summit returns next month with speakers from Bossa Studios, Fireproof Games and Monster and Monster.

Bossa’s Richard Earl will discuss how to build and maintain community engagement, using his experience from his time at TT Games, Capcom and the Surgeon Simulator developer.

Monster and Monster developer Dan Griffiths will host a session entitled ‘The lessons learned from an indie dev’, where he will discuss his experience of self-publishing indie free-to-play title Deep Loot.

Other sessions include a panel called The State of Free-to-play, hosted by Develop contributing editor Will Freeman, with Fireproof Games’ Barry Meade and Delinquent’s Dave Bishop. Secret Police’s Ric Moore meanwhile will reveal data he has harvested from the App Store, and what developers can learn from it.

“Free-to-play has been an established business model in the game industry for some time now,” said Tandem Events MD Andy Lane.

“We’re no longer asking the question whether F2P is sustainable, but instead how can developers maximise its potential and what platforms work best. The F2P: Summit aims to steer the debate on this new vision of F2P development and offers vital networking opportunities with developers and publishers succeeding in the market right now.”

The F2P: Summit will take place on Thursday, March 26th at the RichMix in London.
