Gamecity:Hamberg has been revealed as the newest sponsor of the upcoming Develop 100 report.
There's just around two weeks to go until we publish the full 2011 edition of the Develop 100 in association with Metacritic.
The book will list the world’s top studios in order of critical acclaim.
Core games industry markets like USA, Japan, Canada and the UK are of course represented (with North American development teams taking up over a third of the ranking).
However emerging markets and new hubs for games development are emerging. Teams from India, Slovakia, Spain, New Zealand, Czech Republic and Russia are in the list, as are multiple teams from Australia, South Korea, Norway France, Austria, Germany, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
“Working together with Develop100 gives us an ideal platform to establish new contacts and to underscore our commitment to international cooperation,” said Achim Quinke, the managing director of gamecity:Hamburg.
“Hamburg is the hotspot of the gaming industry in Germany. Our network, gamecity:Hamburg, forges national and international links for the industry. To us, game developers in the United Kingdom have a central role, as we continue the 400-year-old tradition of close trade relations between Hamburg and Britain.”
