Tools firm The Game Creators will launch a new update for its latest product GameGuru tomorrow, with new additions that improve the performance of titles built wth the technology.
GameGuru is a 3D game creator that is accessible to players as well as developers, offering a gateway into games development. It launched via Steam earlier this year.
In what CEO Lee Bamber describes as the product's "most significant" update, GameGuru users will be able to enjoy a performance boost in all games created and played. This has been enabled by The Game Creators converting the tool's core engine to a C++ foundation, optimising the tech to make the best use of any PC cores available.
New users will also benefit from a helpful beginners' guide and series of video tutorials that explain every feature of the software. You can read our own tutorial here.
“This is an exciting and necessary step for the development of GameGuru," said development director Rick Vanner. "Our beta testers have seen a 100 per cent speed increase and have helped us fine tune this great build.”
Bamber added: “This update is the most significant release since the launch of GameGuru and introduces an incredible boost in performance for most users. In addition to increased frame rates, you can expect a number of long-requested feature improvements, such as entity group selection in the editor and an improved help system."
GameGuru 1.1 will be released at 12pm UK time tomorrow (Tuesday, November 17th).
