Monster Warlord and Dark Avenger help mobile publisher to attract audiences in Thailand and Vietnam

Gamevil gets investment boost for South East Asian growth

Gamevil, the South Korean mobile game publisher, has been given a boost in South East Asia with an investment from GMT Soft.

The games firm has established it presence in Asia through partnerships with local game publishers. This new equity investment from GMT for an undisclosed amount will be put towards expanding its business in Thailand and the South East Asian market.

Gamevil has a presence in the US, but it is in Asia that the company has seen its largest growth.

Titles such as Fishing Superstars, Monster Warlord, Dark Avenger (pictured), and Punch Hero have been doing well in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore.

Next the firm plans to produce a wider range of games that will be tailored to fit the local taste through localised marketing and live servicing.

The Korean mobile publishers recently bought Nine Wheels the developer of Monster World.
