This comes after November acquisition of Red Fly Studios.

Gaming Corps secures 91m krona investment for future acquisitions

Swedish studio Gaming Corps has secured 91m krone ($10.1m USD) with the aim of using this funding for acquisitions over the next three years. This change in strategy came about shortly after Gaming Corps acquired Red Fly Studios.

It’s all been made possible due to the significant investment from Global Emerging Markets and their Global Yield Fund, which will enable Gaming Corps to acquire other successful studios as a business model over the next three years.

Gaming Corps acquired American dev Red Fly Studios back in November last year. Red Fly owns its own Mushroom Men IP, but is perhaps better known for its work on the Wii ports of several titles include Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Ghostbusters.

Gaming Corps have said that they’re currently sizing up several different potential acquisitions, with the company’s CEO Magnus Kolaas saying that they’re looking for companies with successful IPs, experience across mobile, console and VR games and a healthy revenue, with the hope that they can announce a successful acquisition as soon as this summer.
