Unreal-Engine 4-powered title uses procedurally generated world to create unique experiences on each playthrough

GDC 13: Terrifying horror game Daylight debuts trailer

Zombie Studios has debuted a new trailer for its upcoming unreal-engine 4-powered horror game Daylight.

To be released on PC in the coming months, the first-person psychological thriller features procedurally generated levels to create a unique environment for each playthrough. Each time a user starts again, the game world’s landscape will be altered and players will experience new content and encounters.

Zombie Studios claims that creating a randomly generated world ensures “it is never the same experience twice”.

The trailer features the main character holding a mobile phone and using various objects such as a glowstick, flares and a teddy bear as the user walks around dark corridors avoiding any unseen enemies that await.
