German social games publisher Bigpoint is to open new offices in London and Paris, the company has revealed.
As part of “significant” expansions in its operations, the firm is to hire five-to-ten staff to work at each new branch, who will be focusing on strengthening the sales network to promote Bigpoint’s portfolio.
Former Activision Blizzard product manager Cedric Genin will head up the Paris office, whilst ex-ITV marketing director Paul Raven will lead operations at the London branch.
Bigpoint also revealed that it was set to open more offices in Spain and Italy during the second quarter of 2012.
“With over 1,000 media partners from all corners of the globe, we have created a one-of-a-kind sales and distribution network for online games,” said Bigpoint CEO Heiko Hubertz.
He added efforts would “aimed at cultivating our regional contact partners in Western Europe to expand our position as market leader.”
