Speaker proposal deadline set for Jan 5, event to open in May

GDC Canada opens call for submissions

Preparations are already being made for the second annual GDC Canada event, with organisers Think Services opening its call for speakers on panel sessions and keynote addresses.

The GDC Canada advisory board will be rating speaker proposals based on the criteria of concept, depth, organization, credentials and takeaway.

This year the topics will tend to lean towards business practices, iPhone games, digital distribution, visual arts, programming and game design.

The conference takes place from May 6-7 next year, with the deadline for speaker proposals set for January 5 2010.

“GDC Canada provides the perfect opportunity for game development teams to share knowledge for developing established franchises, and guidance on taking advantage of new game distribution models,” said event director Izora Lillard
