Registration has opened for August's GDC China.

Interested delegates can apply online for the event, which runs from August 27th to 29th at the Shanghai International Convention Centre.

The event includes a conference, tools expo, and recruitment fair.

Organisers CMP and IDG have also confirmed a number of the conference's speakers. David Perry will be headlining the Online Game Development and Business track, while Paul Steed, Co-Founder & CCO of Exigent, will address 'Why Cultural Training is Crucial to Outsourcing' on the Outsourcing and Next Generation Games track.

Petri Talala, VP of mobile business at Futuremark Corp leads the mobile gamestrack with 'Mobile 3D Graphics in 3G World and Beyond.' Elsewhere Bob Zhu, HR director - Asia at EA, will present 'Do Basic Things Right: Setting up New Business Units and Growing HR Departments in China' in the Career and Recruitment track.

"GDC China will present attendees with the knowledge, skills and networking opportunities to help them get a head start in the burgeoning Chinese games industry," said Meggan Scavio, senior conference manager, GDC China.

"We are honored to have such highly esteemed industry executives present topics focused entirely on the future growth of the Chinese games market."

GDC China set for August

Game Developers Conference organiser CMP is keeping busy between now and the 2008 GDC - after announcing a Korean event last week, the team also confirmed it is putting together a conference in China.
