Goodgame revenues doubled to €200m in 2014

German game developer Goodgame Studios increased yearly revenues by 97 per cent to €202.09m in 2014.

Earnings before interest and tax reached €34.79m, 160 per cent higher than the €13.38m the company made in 2013.

During the last year the company substantially grew its operations, increasing its workforce from 609 employees to 1,168 staff. The studio aims to hire a further 400 employees in 2015.

"The fact that our revenue and earnings are developing so positively demonstrate that our business model enables sustainable growth,” said Goodgame CEO Kai Wawrzinek.

“In the development and marketing of our games, we pursue a data-based approach which allows for constant optimisation and scalable operational processes.”

Goodgame develops numerous titles for browser and mobile, including Empire: Four Kingdoms, Shadow Kings and Goodgame Gangster. During 2014, the number of registered players across its portfolio of titles grew from 170m to 245m.
