Developer, publisher, review scores, release dates and supported platforms all listed

Google now lists game details in search panel

Google now lists game details in a special panel when users search for a specific title.

The panel, placed on the right side of the page on desktops, includes a list of information on the game and series, supported platforms, release dates, review scores and the names of the developer and publisher. It also includes information on other, similar titles that Google users have searched for.

The scheme is part of Google’s Knowledge Graph that aims to provide more complete information on web searches.

A quick test shows that games such as Candy Crush Saga, Assassin’s Creed, Thomas Was Alone, Dear Esther and Maia all display special boxout information during searches.

This is not the case for all games however. Many indie titles such as Five Nights at Freddy’s, Shattered Planet and Democracy 3 do not display an information panel.
