Mobile gaming giant Gree has launched a $10 million investment fund for mobile game developers.
The Gree Partners Fund will provide each developer involved in the scheme with $1 million or more in funding.
The program is designed to help the company establish “long-term relationships” with studios in the free-to-play market.
As well as receiving the funding, developers of the scheme will also gain access to Gree’s suite of tools and its own internal studios for advice and help, as well as providing help with marketing, monetisation, post-launch operations and growth initiatives.
“As with our investment in MunkyFun, my goal is to create long-term partnerships with a small group of top developers whose experience positions them well to create games of exceptional quality from both a game play and revenue perspective, ” said Gree VP of publishing Jim Ying, who is charge of the program.
The investment fund is currently open to developers based in North and South America.
