Heavenly Sword dev seeks animation interns

UK indie studio opens internship program for aspiring animators
Publish date:

Cambridge-based Heavenly Sword developers Ninja Theory has opened its own Ninja Animation Internship Program.

The three-month scheme will see aspiring animation interns work on both hand-keyed animation and motion capture data using Maya, on the studio’s PS3 and Xbox 360 project.

Ninja co-founder Nina Kristensen said that, if the internship program is successful, the scheme will be repeated next year.

Ninja Theory has built a reputation for its dedication to high animation standards. In the months preceding the release of Heavenly Sword, it was said that one of the PS3’s Cell cores were dedicated entirely to controlling the long red hair of the game’s heroine.
