London tech firm adds another industry veteran to its ranks

Improbable hires Killzone audio director

Improbable’s recruitment drive continues with the appointment of sound designer Lewis James.

James has directed the audio on a number of triple-A games, including Burnout Revenge, Burnout Paradise, Army of Two: The Fortieth Day and most recently PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadowfall.

He says that Improbable’s current project, which has yet to be announced, offers "mind blowing possibilities" for sound design.

"I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve at Improbable," he said. "With the team that Improbable has put together, and the mind blowing possibilities for sound design in the new systems being created here, I feel we have the chance of crafting some new, positive and exciting things with gaming."

Improbable CEO Herman Narula added: "We’re thrilled to have Lewis joining the Improbable team. His sheer gift for audio design will bring a unique feel to the games being created at Improbable, and his technical expertise will help us create a world class resource for the ground-breaking work being done here."

Improbable has been on a hiring spree over the past few months, bringing in Crytek UK’s Nick Button-Brown as studio head, and hiring members of the Fable Legends and Alien: Isolation teams.
