The Indie Fund has chosen to back former PAX10 and Make Something Unreal winner Antichamber for its next project.

Developed by Australian indie Alexander Bruce, the uniquely styled puzzle game has been in development since 2006.

The backing, the seventh project to receive funding from the investment group, will now be used to help Bruce finish the long-awaited game and bring it to market.

"We’ve played the game multiple times over the last few years, at various states of completion, and each time the design and feel of the game shifts, and feels more refined,” read a statement on the official Indie Fund blog.

“Kudos to Alex for iterating on his work and incubating it until it’s really ready.”

Previous games to receive investment include first-person puzzle game Q.U.B.E and adventure title Dear Esther, the latter of which took just six hours to recoup the $55,000 it took to create the game. It has since gone up to sell more than 50,000 copies.
