iOS sensation Smurfs Village expands to Android

The free-to-play Android version of Smurfs Village has been released today for selected devices, developer Beeline Interactive has announced.

Publisher Capcom said that Beeline would also start distributing its other social games to the smartphone as part of measures to expand sales of games on multiple platforms.

The popular Smurfs game has had more than 15 million downloads worldwide on the App store and is the top-grossing app on Apple’s App store in 69 countries, Capcom added.

Beeline claims cumulative downloads for Smurfs Village and its other freemium smartphone games Monster Pet Shop, Zombie Café and Lil’ Pirates have reached more than 25 million.

Smurfs Village is based on the popular cartoon and allows players to build houses, gardens, grow crops and play various mini games.
