Studio management team ISM has teamed up with GDC organiser CMP to put together the conference's first charity poker tournament, supporting the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation.

120 players from the games industry will take part, selected via personal invitation and silent bid to play for prizes donated by industry partners, a trophy and the title of ISM Invitational Poker Champion – GDC ‘07 (and all the associated bragging rights that come with it).

The benefit takes place on March 6th at 9:30pm at the Marriott Hotel in San Francisco. An entry donation of $100 minimum is suggested for each player, with all proceeds for the event going to the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation. No fee will be required for observers. "We’re excited about bringing together a broad mix of video game professionals from across all sectors of the industry and around the globe for a great game of poker in this first ever benefit competition," said Stew Kosoy, senior partner at ISM Agency.

“We expect that everyone will have a great time and raise a substantial amount for the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation."
