Mixi’s co-op action RPG Monster Strike made $378 million between April 1st and June 30th.

As reported by Serkan Toto, the number correlates to just under $4.2m a day on average. It was also claimed that of its earnings, almost 100 per cent of sales come from Japan alone.

Following the success, Mixi plans to make a bigger push in Western markets. Though the game is already out in North America, the company is plotting a “large scale” marketing campaign to push the game further.

The game has seemingly struggled outside of Japan to date. The report claims that the developer is closing Monster Strike in China after a lack of interest, and is no longer accepting new user registrations.

Its success mirrors that of GungHo Entertainment’s Puzzle & Dragons, which last year was said to be a key part in the studio generating $4.5m a day.
