Tokyo office could start developing new games in future

King has opened a new studio in Japan to localise to localise its portfolio of mobile games for the country.

The Tokyo-based office is headed up by former Gloops CMO Ken Edahiro and currently only houses three employees.

Speaking to CNet, as translated by Serkan Toto, Edahiro said he was looking to hire more staff, including a CTO and game producer.

He said the studio would be responsible for localising King’s portfolio of games for the Japanese market, and it may also start developing new games for the region in future.
