Building a successful game is one thing, but transforming that title into a world-conquering franchise is another challenge entirely.
Developers keen to take their IP further may want to head to Interface on Thursday, May 14th, where we will be interviewing Mind Candy's Darran Garnham (pictured right) about the firm's own experience with the phenomenon that is Moshi Monsters.
As chief commerical officer for the firm, Garnham has helped take Moshi Monsters beyond the realm of video games and into the lucrative sectors of merchandise and even movie production.
During Interface's live stage sessions, we will be picking his brains on how developers can build their brands and learn more about the licensing opportunities open to then.
Garnham joins a line-up that includes Nintendo's Ed Valiente, Execution Labs’ Jason Della Rocca, and PlayStation’s indie champion Shahid Ahmad. The Interface live stage is presented by Pollen VC.
Interface is a brand new games event from the teams behind Develop and MCV, which aims to bring developers together with publishers to pitch games and potentially forge new partnerships.
It takes place at the Candid Arts Trust, near Angel tube statio in London. To find out more about Interface, or to register your place, head towww.interface.events.
