UK independent studio Lightning Fish Games is looking to grow its workforce as part of a new expansion plan.
The studio, based near Oxford, wants to raise staff numbers from about 45 to over 60 over the next few months.
Company CEO Simon Prytherch said the measures showed that the UK is still a place where studios can thrive.
“Lightning Fish is an exciting and ambitious company that has come a long way in the last two years,” he said.
“I am proud of what the team has achieved. We are currently working on major unannounced titles for Kinect, Move and Wii. I can’t wait to talk about them later this year. In the meantime, we are looking for experts in all fields to help us create the next generation of motion controlled games.”
In 2010 the studio partnered with India-based outsource firm Quickstart Global, which is said to have since expanded from its original start up team of four to today’s head count of 23.
